MonsterGardens.COM Tests the Hortilux Eye Super HPS Vs. The Digilux HPS both 1000 watt. This was the first round, both bulbs are going to be in continuos 12/12 use for 6 months and we will re test. Hopefully this will give us an idea of longevity. We understand this test is EXTREMELY simple. We have not had consistent data to tel us if the Hortilux is truly better or not than the Diigilux. Since this video test we have tested the bulbs with a Scout Quantum meter for PAR (photosynthetically Active Radiation) . The Digilux did test 1-2% higher in PAR output. We have only had the Digilux for a few months now, so we will its track record. The Digilux comes with a 1 year warranty as the Hortilux has a warranty as well (though we have a less than 1% return rate on hort.). We know this, Hortilux is a tried and true brand, we will always stand behind 100%. (When we shot this video we had some factors left out that have been implemented in further testing , showing a similar result to the one in this test).
